Cal. 45-90. S# 90998 (1894). The 26" half octagon half round barrel with Winchester markings on top and caliber mark at rear is fitted with correct style buckhorn rear and German silver blade front sights. Rifle has full length magazine tube. Typical 86 action is marked "Model 1886" on top tang. American walnut buttstock measures 13-1/4" over crescent steel buttplate. CONDITION: good. All metal parts present a chocolate brown patina with scattered pitting overall. Wood lightly refinished with oil and has some minor marks. There is a 1" repair on left side of buttstock beside hammer. Bore is fair; rifling evident, heavily pitted. Action is smooth; mechanically good. (01-30302 /MGM). ANTIQUE. $1,800-2,750.
